3. If you have not already done so online, please arrive at our office at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment so that you can complete the new patient forms. If you want to save time on your first appointment, you can fill out the new patient forms and bring them to your initial appointment.

The Office of Dr. Tuero-Llanos has a 48-hour appointment cancellation policy.

If you are unable to keep your appointment and have to cancel or move it to another date, you must notify us 48 hours in advance or a $25 fee will apply.

It is important for us to be able to care for all patients who need our help and guidance. So out of respect for both our doctor and our patients, we want the opportunity for other patients to be able to have appointments readily available.

Dr. Tuero-Llanos has hospital privileges in: 

• Huntington Hospital 

 If you have a medical emergency, call 9-1-1.

If you are a patient of Dr. Tuero-Llanos and can get to an emergency room, go to one of the hospital nearest to your current location or the closest urgent care center

A Video Telemedicine Appointment is just like a regular appointment at our office, the only difference is that Dr. Tuero-Llanos will speak to you through a video connection on your computer or smartphone.

Just like in a conventional appointment at our office, Dr. Tuero-Llanos will review with you your most recent labs and diagnostic tests, the information from your glucose meter and/or insulin pump. The doctor will ask you if you have had any changes, symptoms, etc. She will then provide you with a recommendation as to your current treatment or if anything needs to be modified. Dr. Tuero-Llanos will coordinate a future follow-up appointment – ​​but you decide if it should be a regular appointment in the office or if you want to see her again with another Video Telemedicine Appointment.

Video Telemedicine Appointments are very convenient, but unfortunately they are not covered by medical plans. In any case, the cost of these innovative appointments is very affordable.

Video Telemedicine (CTV) appointments work for all types of patients – New Patients and Existing Patients.

Patients can make a traditional appointment in our office or a Video Telemedicine Appointment, it is your personal choice. By making a CTV appointment, any patient can maintain the continuity of their care without the need to physically visit our office. This saves a lot of time and fuel...

Video Telemedicine appointments are very convenient for many patients:

• Patients with a complicated itinerary, such as frequent travelers
• Patients who live 30+ miles from our office
• Patients who need to keep frequent follow-up appointments – such as Diabetes, Thyroid, Osteoporosis, Andropause
• Young patients who are away from home in college
• Patients who depend on others to bring them to their medical appointments
